Giulio Maragno launches collection using deadstock fabrics

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2026-01-21 14:04:54 – Italy

Italian designer Giulio Maragno has created a timeless collection with the idea of a blanket fort, which, like the garments themselves, represents safety and emotional ease. The collection reflects a sense of comfort and protection.

The designer worked with deadstock fabrics sourced from well-known fashion houses such as Loro Piana and Max Mara. These unused materials are transformed into a collection that feels warm and embracing. Each piece is designed to help the wearer feel secure and briefly step away from everyday concerns.

Inspired by the layered nature of a blanket fort, the collection brings together a mix of fabrics and surfaces. Chunky knits, cashmere and wool are combined with lighter materials such as fine mesh, creating contrast while maintaining comfort. The colour palette remains soft and restrained, featuring tones of brown and beige, complemented by a gentle creamy yellow.
