Garmon Chemicals promotes traceability and sustainability with COTTON USA

A great success for the special event at Naked Hub in Shanghai where Garmon has awarded a young designer from Donghua University with a week of training in The Italian Job, Garmon’s Research & Design studio in Italy.

On May 31st, Garmon Chemicals, CCI, COTTONSMITH, a COTTON USA brand license, and the College of Fashion and Design, Donghua University, jointly held the event “Cotton Creation Era – Denim Creative Design Award Ceremony” at Naked Hub in Shanghai. From cotton fields to clothing, from soil to ready-made garments, all parties work together to innovate cotton life and promote the traceability and sustainability of and cotton raw materials fabrics, design and production.

Garmon Chemicals joined hands with COTTON USA, COTTONSMITH, and the students of the College of Fashion and Design, Donghua University to showcase break-through innovations to define the value of cotton in denim and in life. For this event, COTTON USA created opportunities for the integration of upstream and downstream supply chains, demonstrated design and fashion trends of cotton innovation and cotton apparel, creating high-quality cotton garments. At the event, COTTON USA demonstrated the natural properties and practicality of cotton based on the concept of environmental protection and sustainability, through cotton products presented by Garmon Chemicals and COTTONSMITH in a cotton-themed space created with a new perspective. The contestants from the Donghua University brought design works that are agile, pure, elegant, and dynamic, expressing the multi-dimensional interpretation of cotton and its unique style. A group of heavyweight guests, senior judges, authoritative media, and clothing professionals shared a new trend in cotton life. After intense competition, eight works were selected as they crossed barriers and broke with tradition. Garmon Chemicals has awarded Jingtian Wang as the best student with the most promising design proposal in the fashion Contest, with a week of training in The Italian Job lab located in Italy. COTTONSMITH has chosen the Best Commercial Potential Award product for further retail and “Mi” online sales.
