Fire-Dex, a global supplier of personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders, has introduced its new Fire Investigation PPE, the first-ever protective suit created exclusively for fire investigators.
The newly launched, patent-pending gear addresses the long-standing gap between heavy-duty firefighter turnout gear and less effective alternatives. It offers a balanced combination of protection, comfort, mobility, and breathability, giving investigators equipment tailored to their unique needs.
Traditionally, fire investigators have had to use protective gear intended for entirely different environments. To solve this, Fire-Dex collaborated with leading investigators across the United States to design PPE that offers both safety and functionality without compromise.
The Fire Investigation PPE moves naturally with the wearer, provides protection in critical areas, reduces the risk of heat stress, and remains lightweight for long hours on-site. The suit includes advanced features such as smart waterproofing, built-in knee pads, vented panels, pass-through pockets, and phone storage.
“Everything we create at Fire-Dex is focused on helping first responders perform at their best,” said Todd Herring, Vice President of Product Innovation and Strategy at Fire-Dex. “Being at your best means having the right protection and freedom to work effectively. This new PPE combines our years of innovation in fit, design, and material science to finally deliver what fire investigators have been asking for.”
Additionally, the Fire Investigation PPE forms part of Fire-Dex’s wider non-structural PPE range. When paired with Dex-Rescue Gloves, FDXL90 Boots, and particulate-blocking hoods, it offers a complete, lightweight protective system designed to keep fire investigators safe, comfortable, and focused during their investigations.
