eVent Fabrics, Topo Athletic partner for eco-friendly waterproof footwear

eVent Fabrics, a global leader in waterproof and breathable fabric technology, is now supplying their eco-conscious eVent BIO™ Footwear waterproof laminate to Topo Athletic, a brand known for its sustainability-focused footwear for walking, running, and hiking.

BIO Footwear is designed to handle all weather conditions, using plant-based materials to create a waterproof laminate that is both eco-friendly and durable. With strong abrasion resistance, BIO Footwear ensures that shoes last longer, making them ideal for both outdoor adventures and everyday use. The technology keeps feet dry, comfortable, and blister-free in any environment.

The eVent BIO technology is currently featured in Topo’s Terraventure 4 WP trail shoe and the Trailventure 2 WP hiking boot, combining comfort, performance, and an environmentally friendly waterproof membrane.

The Terraventure 4 WP trail runner is designed for wet conditions, featuring eVent BIO’s waterproof bootie construction that keeps water out while the tightly woven mesh ensures a secure fit. The 25 x 22 mm platform provides moderate cushioning, and the forefoot rock plate adds protection for a comfortable ride. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole delivers excellent traction and slip resistance, particularly in wet terrain.

The Trailventure 2 WP hiking boot comes with a full eVent BIO waterproof bootie, a ZipFoamTM midsole, and an external TPU heel counter for added comfort and stability. Gaiter attachments are compatible with Topo’s Performance Gaiter, protecting against dirt and debris. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole offers grip on all surfaces, while the ESS rock plate ensures stability and protection on rugged trails.
