Elektro Couture, fashion technology house to make its Indian debut at LFW

The Lakme Fashion Week is set to start its Summer/Resort edition from March 30, where Elektro Couture, a Berlin based fashion technology house, and the world’s first agency to pioneer bespoke innovative electronic wearable technology for the fashion, will make its Indian debut at the Lakme Fashion Week.

ElektroCouture will do a show for the first time in India, bringing global trend of fashion with technology.

A total of 90 designers are going to display their collections on the runway this season, which includes Neeta Lulla, Nikhil Thampi, Anita Dongre, Monisha Jaising, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Masaba Gupta, Payal Singhal and Nishka Lulla.

Designer Manish Malhotra will open the season with an offsite show while Rohit Bal will present his collection as the Grand Finale designer.

Rohit will showcase his collection based on Lakme’s style statement for the season, the ‘Illuminate Look’.

Eleven models will be also making their debut at Lakme Fashion Week. Also seen would be international models, Azura Skye and Smita Lasrado walking the ramp.

The prestigious Gen Next show will also be a part of the week.

The ‘Indian Handloom and Textile Day has been re-named as the ‘Sustainable and Indian Textile Day for the Lakme Fashion Week this time.
