Durst Group acquires Aleph SrL to expand sustainable printing

Durst Group, a leading manufacturer of digital printing solutions, has acquired Aleph SrL, a pioneer in sustainable digital technologies for textiles and interior/exterior decorations. This strategic move enhances Durst Group’s position in sustainable printing technologies, particularly water-based printing. It also provides a connection to Como, Italy, a hub for textile design and high-quality applications.

Aleph, founded in 2000, initially dealt with software and textile consumables but evolved into manufacturing innovative machines for digital water-based printing. In 2017, Wise Equity joined Aleph’s venture to support international expansion, especially in specialized textile and billboard printing applications. Aleph now generates over 60% of its revenue from 20+ countries.

Christoph Gamper, CEO of Durst Group, expressed excitement about integrating Aleph, praising their expertise in sustainable, water-based applications and software for high-end textiles. This collaboration aligns with Durst Group’s vision of pushing digital printing technology boundaries, aiming to strengthen market position and global customer value.

In recent years, the demand for environmentally friendly and customizable products has fueled the growth of markets for digital printing technologies using water-based inks. This acquisition aims to combine high-performance printing systems with eco-friendly ink systems and integrated software solutions, meeting the increasing market trend.

Alessandro Manes, CEO of Aleph SrL, described the collaboration with Durst Group as an exciting new chapter, emphasizing shared values of technological innovation, excellence, and commitment to true sustainability. The collaboration holds promise for advancements in digital textiles, interior, and exterior decoration sectors.

The strategic acquisition aims to capitalize on synergies by combining Durst Group’s global presence and procurement network with Aleph’s expertise in sustainable digital solutions for textiles and decoration. It aligns with Durst Group’s strategy to diversify its portfolio and cater to evolving customer needs across various industries.

Both Durst Group and Aleph are committed to a smooth transition for their customers, partners, and employees throughout the integration process.
