Davifil
Davifil introduced its latest innovation, Cotone Biolana OE, a groundbreaking yarn made entirely from recycled materials at FILO 63. The cotton used in Cotone Biolana OE comes from garment production scraps and fabric offcuts, which are shredded and transformed back into fiber. The wool component is sourced from combed spinning waste, including fiber residues and ribbons discarded during production. These materials are blended and spun using the open-end system, ensuring both sustainability and high quality.
Cotone Biolana OE is available in four natural shades, all certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS): Oak and Amber (brown tones) and Steel and Ash (grey tones). The darker colors, Steel and Amber, have a 50% Cotton – 50% Wool composition, while the lighter shades, Oak and Ash, contain 80% Cotton – 20% Wool.
With this innovation, Davifil strengthens its presence in the sustainable textile industry, offering high-quality yarns that uphold environmental responsibility.
Sustainability remains at the core of Davifil’s operations. The company prioritizes natural and renewable raw materials, minimizing environmental impact through responsible practices. It integrates renewable energy and eco-friendly treatments into its production process. Davifil holds key certifications, including GOTS, GRS, RAF, European Flax, and Ethic-et, reinforcing its commitment to ethical and sustainable textile manufacturing.
