Cottonfab exhibition held to sense the classy, ethnic fabric of India

The Awadh Hathkargha, Hastshilp Evum Gramodyog Samiti has organized Cottonfab exhibition, showcases myriad collection of classy and authentic materials for all age groups.

It’s summer collection includes handloom silk and cotton saris, dress materials, kurtas, kurtis, stoles, dupattas and also a wide range of designer wear in traditional Indian handloom at affordable prices.

Kalamkari saris, Pochampalli silk saris and Mangalgiri from Andhra Pradesh, saris from Hubli, Belgaum, Bangalore and Dharmavaram, Kanjivaram silk from Karnataka, ghiccha and tussars of Bihar and Jharkhand, kosa and champa saris of Chhattisgarh are a few among the huge array of saris on display at the expo.

The expo has also put on display fascinating ethnic print materials, bandhanis and Kutch embroidery materials of Gujarat, Chanderi silk, Maheshwari and batik prints of Madhya Pradesh, sanganeri, bandhej, dhabu and doria kota of Rajasthan.

The Banaras silk saris, brocades, Jamdani, Jamawar and the chikankari of Uttar Pradesh, Baluchari, Dhakai Jaamdahi and kmantha of West Bengal, sambhalpuri ikkat vastra of Orissa, mooga silk of Assam, the needlework and aariwork of Jammu & Kashmir and the chikan embroidery of Old Delhi are other eye-catchy collection on display at the Cottonfab expo

The exhibition is held at Marine Drive and will be open till May 18 for public from 10.30 am to 9 pm.

Cottonfab exhibition is held every year across the country with the aim to elate handloom workers, as the market is being dominated by the powerloom and imports from other countries.
