CONECT Tunis Young Fashion Designer Festival to be held on 19 May

CONECT, the Tunisian Clothing Professional Manufacturing Group, organizes the Tunis Young Fashion Designer Festival on May 19, 2016 with a goal of bringing together, on the Carthage coast, the various Tunisian and foreign players in the clothing and textile industry.

“Messe Frankfurt France recently committed itself to encouraging the promotion of Tunisia’s clothing and textile offer as part of Apparel Sourcing Paris, the international sourcing trade fair, and also locally by supporting different promotional actions that emphasize business synergies between Europe – especially the North – and the Tunisian clothing and accessories industry. This is the case with the Tunis Young Fashion Designer Festival since it is important to show that creation remains a core preoccupation of players in industries linked to fashion, an essential business advantage. It is also an opportunity, because of its conferences, to take stock of current events and issues in the Tunisian clothing industry that concern both sides of the Mediterranean” points out Michael Scherpe, president of Messe Frankfurt France.

Thus Messe Frankfurt France offers its support to this unique, essential event for Tunisian manufacturers and contractors who hope to internationalize their activities and develop partnerships with high-potential markets. Besides introducing creative Tunisian talents capable of bringing an important stylistic input to the Tunisian fashion industry, the day-long event will also provide a dynamic exchange of contacts and business opportunities between its local and international participants.

Welcomed by Apparel Sourcing Paris last September at the invitation of Messe Frankfurt France, the DTB – an association that groups together key players in German sourcing – will be present in Tunis. It will present its activities and sourcing expectations in a late-morning conference. The strength of business opportunities and the DTB’s expertise and openness to Apparel Sourcing Paris’ international scope convinced a delegation of ten German decision-makers to travel to Tunis and make contacts with Tunisian companies.
