Leading manufacturer of performance luxury apparel Canada Goose has announced the launch of ‘Generations’ re-commerce platform that will enable users to trade-in old Canada Goose jackets and apparel and browse the brand's recognized styles, heritage pieces, and limited-edition goods. Products from Canada Goose will continue to be sold on the authorized resale network, giving them a second, third, and fourth lives.
The business said in a news release that the carefully chosen selection for buying on Generations platform includes antique items from the brand's 65-year archive that will drop periodically, pre-loved goods from consumers, and refurbished Canada Goose products.
Trove, a pioneer in branded resale technology, will power the Generations website.
The brand's purpose platform, Humanature, which integrates its sustainability and values-based efforts, serves as the engine behind Canada Goose Generations. Through its Resource Centers Program, which since 2009 has given surplus textiles and materials to communities in Canada's North, Canada Goose first entered the circular economy. Generations immediately aids the brand in achieving its annual warranty waste target and its Sustainable Impact Strategy.
Generations began airing in the United States before moving on to Canada later in the year.
Carrie Baker, president of Canada Goose, said that Canada Goose Generations is their purpose in action—a practical and meaningful method to keep the globe cold and the people on it warm. They create things that are made to last a lifetime, and each one is unique. By extending its collective story, Generations reduces its environmental footprint.
