The C.L.A.S.S, sustainable fashion consultancy, which is based in Milan has re-organised its operations in the course of the global pandemic through online events, virtual talks and a new app established to smart textiles.
The platform has been established as the C.L.A.S.S eco hub and the organisation gives annual awards for designers, stylist and creatives who bring sustainability to the public at large and rethink ways of communicating fashion. They have recently conducted a programme of virtual talks that now includes a ‘smart shop’ platform which has incorporated e-commerce that uses an interactive app.
Giusy Bettoni, the founder and CEO, stated that for them 2020 has been the year of renewal, transformation and evolution. Bettoni added that communication and education have also been in the DNA of C.L.S.S. He stated that as the pandemic prevailed upon the world, they have realised that it cannot just be another tool and needed a new dimension. He stated that the company required a new defining framework that merges the new generation of sustainable values, products and business.
The new re-organised platform features a ‘smart tools’ feature that includes a material hub featuring a bank of advanced textiles and yarns, a section focusing on the circular economy and business model, a look at process technology including textile machinery and other manufacturing applications and a section that looks at new ways of digital communication.
The C.L.A.S.S was established in 2007 and has supported brands, manufacturers and designs to make integrate strategic choices in terms of responsible sourcing in the textile sector.
