Brightplus secures funding for eco-friendly textile coating technology

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-07-21 14:13:32 – Finland

Finnish company Brightplus has raised $2.3 million in funding to support the growth of its eco-friendly and recyclable coatings used in the global textile sector. The company focuses on turning industrial waste into useful raw materials, promoting a circular economy model.

The funding round was led by Zurich-based investor Collateral Good, with support from Nordic Butterfly Ventures. Other investors included E.A.T. Holdings, FF-Future, Nordic Option, and FutureLab-X.

Their unique BrightBio technology creates advanced, recyclable, and bio-based materials. It uses industrial leftovers as raw inputs, helping reduce waste. With the new funding, Brightplus aims to expand its BrightBio coating technology from pilot testing to full-scale industrial production.

Milja Hannu-Kuure, CEO of Brightplus, added: “We understand how to combine sustainable raw materials into strong and effective solutions. Using safe, European-sourced ingredients gives us an edge in global markets. After seeing great results in pilot trials with top brands, we are ready to bring our green solutions to a larger scale.”
