Baranovichi Cotton Production Association targets to double exports in 2016

Baranovichi Cotton Production Association is the largest manufacturer of textile products in Europe and CIS countries with the complete production cycle: from cotton processing and yarn production up to ready-made goods output. Baranovichi Cotton Production Association plans to restore exports; the task is to double exports to the EU in 2016, said General Director Ivan Turchak.

Baranovichi Cotton Production Association sells 70% of its output domestically and exports the rest, with Russia being the main sales market.

In 2015 the Baranovichi Company worked actively with the countries of the European Union whereby the company’s exports to Europe increased 4 times and amounted to about $1 million.

Home textiles are shipped to customers in Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, the Baltic states and Poland.

The company sees Poland, Italy and Scandinavia as the most promising markets. But they are also exploring other markets.

Given the crisis, it is not easy to crack into new markets, but the prospects are there. Their main task is to search cheap resources for development, Ivan Turchak said.

He further added to be successful, several things should be factored in, among them is logistics as the competition is high in the textile business. They see the territories within a radius of 1,500 -2,000km from Baranovichi as their main market.

A session was held on 17 March to discuss the performance of Baranovichi Cotton Production Association after the completion of the large-scale modernization by the State Control Committee of Brest Oblast.

Annually the specialists of their design-studio visit the largest international textile exhibitions and trend-show which are the source of inspiration and new ideas for the exclusive collections creation.
