Bangladesh partake in Uzbekistan cotton, textile fair to improve trade ties

Bangladeshi delegation led by Ambassador Mosud Mannan, has taken part in the 11th cotton and textile fair in Tashkent on Thursday to improve the trade ties.

The embassy said that the fair stimulates further development of market mechanisms in cotton trading, improvement of business relations between Uzbek producers and Bangladesh customers. Bangladesh is one of the largest importers of cotton from Uzbekistan.

The Bangladeshi delegation held a meeting with Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and the Trade Ergashev Ibrohim Kenjabaevich. They also discussed the possibilities of reopening the direct flights.

Kenjabaevich welcomed the delegation, and said that Bangladesh became an integral part of the cotton fair, which is being held every year.

Uzbekistan is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of cotton.
