Athleta, a luxury sports and sportswear company in the US owned by Gap Inc., known for its yoga and pilates apparel, has launched a new exercise line for women. This 'Train' line aims to empower women during intense workouts as the company expands its focus on high-performance training.

The collection underwent rigorous testing for over three years, including wear tests with various women, including professional athletes, and lab tests for fit and design. The tests focused on aspects like shape retention, strength, breathability, and wicking to ensure quality.

The collection features the patented 'PowerMove' fabric made from recycled polyester, reducing environmental impact. This fabric, created using a special knitting technique, is lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, providing ideal compression and support for high-impact exercises.

Cut on the cross grain, the fabric offers flexible compression, allowing for vertical stretch and support for explosive movements like box jumps and burpees. Athleta's senior director of design, Casey Schumacher, emphasized the collection's alignment with the company's mission to empower women through movement.

The 'Train' line includes various items such as the Interval Tight with a unique waistband design for an ideal fit, Interval Stash 7/8 Tight, Capri, Short (7-inch), and Jacket. Additionally, there's an "unstoppable fleece" line for pre and post-workout needs, featuring items like the Unstoppable Full Zip and Unstoppable Jogger, made from the patented 'Flex Fleece' for comfort and performance.
