ASICS releases SUNRISE REBORN shoes made from old clothes

ASICS’ SUNRISE REBORN™ pack features two new running shoes which are manufactured giving sustainability as their priority. The Sunrise Reborn Pack includes new versions of running sneakers, manufactured using old clothes collected in Japan. As referenced in the name of the pack, the shoes follow a warm color palette.

ASICS utilized the same cutting-edge innovation technology for making the new Sunrise Reborn models which they have used in making their line of upcycled garments and footwear made for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Through this creative innovation, ASICS can reuse, redo and restyle the disposal of materials into new material plans, same as the SUNRISE REBORN™ running shoes.

This new SUNRISE REBORN pack is another important step of ASICS’ continuous mission of limiting the ecological impression of their items globally.

President and COO of ASICS Corporation, Yasuhito Hirota said that after the launch of ASICS in 1949, their main purpose has been to help people achieve a sound mind in a sound body. To achieve this, they need a sound Earth to exercise on. This is the main reason because of which they’re committed to playing their part in constructing a circular economy that will help in reducing CO2 emissions and reduce global warming. They want to let people all over the world enjoy the mental and physical benefits of sport, through sustainable products like SUNRISE REBORN™ PACK, while preserving the planet for future generations to do the same.

The SUNRISE REBORN™ PACK consists of 2 of ASICS top shoes i.e. MetaRide and Gel-Quantum 360™ TYO shoe, both in the striking sunrise red colorway.
