Asia Pacific Fibers, BlockTexx develop recycled polyester filament yarns

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2025-10-08 16:27:44 – Australia

Integrated polyester manufacturer Asia Pacific Fibers has entered into a strategic partnership with Australian clean technology company BlockTexx to produce and supply textile-to-textile recycled polyester filament yarns for the global fashion industry.

BlockTexx uses its patented S.O.F.T. (Separation of Fibre Technology) process to recover polyester and cellulose from post-consumer blended textiles, producing PolyTexx and CellTexx materials. These recycled raw materials are supplied to Asia Pacific Fibers to create Re-petitive yarns, made from PolyTexx rPET, offering sustainable alternatives that reduce water consumption, chemical waste, and landfill use.

Re-petitive yarns are available in raw white, dope-dyed, and functional variants that provide stretch, moisture management, UV protection, antimicrobial, and biodegradable features. Made entirely from recycled polymers, these yarns can include 10–50% textile waste and are certified by OEKO-TEX, GRS, and RCS.
