Allied Home, a manufacturer of quality crafted bedding, has launched its new RENU:700 Performance Recycled Down bedding, the first of its kind on the market, as part of its commitment to sustainability by helping to reduce the massive textile waste that ends up in landfills.
Allied gathers post-consumer bedding from Italy, Russia, Germany, and North America and reuses the down inside these items for its RENU:700 Performance Recycled Down bedding by partnering with a global recycling supply chain.
At Allied facilities, the gathered down goes through an intensive sanitation process. To achieve the strictest levels of cleanliness and high-quality standards, it is cleaned using a unique DuraWash Method that uses ecologically friendly, bluesign-approved detergents. As a consequence, down clusters and feathers, are more durable and powerful, resulting in unmatched down quality.
The GRS (Global Recycling Standard), an independent certification auditor, has certified Allied's RENU:700 Performance Recycled Down bedding and its supply chain. The GRS (Global Recycling Standard) is regarded as the most comprehensive and stringent Recycling Standard. This accreditation guarantees that every material was gathered from post-consumer items and processed in accordance with rigorous chemical and social compliance guidelines.
Allied Home’s COO, Jonathan Uretsky, said with the future of our planet in mind, an increasing number of customers are opting for eco-friendly items from businesses that share their beliefs. They've witnessed an increase in customer acceptance of post-consumer items, and they're extremely happy to unveil a high-quality recycled bedding line that's been years in the making. Consumers may rest well knowing that their purchases have a long-term influence.
The lofty 700FP white recycled down used in RENU:700 bedding create pillows and comforters that are the right blend of fluffy and soft, with optimum comfort and support. The pillow and comforter shells are composed of 233TC organic cotton that is 100% certified. This beautiful, airy natural-color cotton shell is more sustainable than traditional cotton since it is grown without pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers.
