National Textile University (NTU) in collaboration with Dice Foundation USA and consortium of universities and textile industry, is organizing "All Pakistan Dice-Textile Event" on March 21, to create a positive and favourable image of Pakistan textile industry in the world and expedite the process of technology revolution in the country.
The event to establish a strong linkage b/w academia and textile Industry and provide a common platform for academia, industry, government, entrepreneurs and expatriates to interact, share knowledge and collaborate on innovations and commercialization, in order to grow the indigenous textile industry in the country.
Professor Dr Tanveer Hussain, Acting Rector NTU said that main objective of holding this event will be to grow indigenous textile industry and provide a common platform for academia and textile industry and collaborate on innovations related to textile industry, textile engineering capacity building leverage knowledge of expatriates around the world, providing access to Pakistan textile industry in global markets and formulate viable suggestion for improvement of textile industry and thus help the Government of Pakistan in formulation of better textile policy.
Dr Tanveer Hussain further added that DICE-Textile Event will formulate recommendations for expediting the process of technology revolution in Pakistan by motivating both academia and industry to acquire, promote and utilize modern technology/high-tech software for the rapid development of innovative textile products in the country.
