YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2016-05-23 09:00:23 –

In China, prices of 40s compact sirospun yarn in Jiangsu rolled over in the second week of May while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan remained unchanged. Offers for ring-spun 30s yarn also rolled over on the week.

Viscose spun yarn market was largely stable in China, with offers largely soft to rolling over. Liquidity was slow as discussions for ring?spun 30s, siro?spun 40s and compact & siro?spun 40s yarns at previous week’s level. Upstream, VSF prices inched up and producers enjoyed good demand with lower run rates.

In India, with VSF prices stable for seven consecutive weeks, the support to viscose yarn markets remained firm with their prices rolling over in stability. 30s viscose spun yarn prices were down US cent 1 a kg (due to weak INR) in Indore market.

In Pakistan, viscose yarn prices inched up although VSF prices rolled over for the sixth successive week, implying modest demand in domestic and export markets.

35s viscose yarn price inched up PakRe1 per pound (up US cents 3 a kg) and 40s by PakRs2 to a pound (up US cents 6 a kg) in Karachi market.
