Viscose yarn price rise slows down in Asia

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2015-10-26 10:00:49 –

In China, 40s compact siro-spun yarn in Jiangsu were steady in the third week of October while 30s spun viscose in Xiaoshan were up US cent 1 a kg on the week.

Spun viscose yarn prices were largely stable across markets with some specs inching up in China as viscose staple fibre markets continued to remain firm.

High end VSF were priced higher. However, viscose yarn producers showed stronger sidelined stance after Xinjiang Aoyang restarted VSF unit.

Order intakes were just passable in general but a bit weak compared with last month.

In India, spun viscose yarn prices held flat on the week, but liquidity was reportedly slower than previous month. 30s viscose spun yarn prices were up US cent 1 a kg, due to stronger INR, in Indore market.

Viscose yarn prices in Pakistan remained steady to weak since imported VSF values were down.
