In Shengze, offers for 32s polyester yarn were down US cents 3 a kg in the third week of May while 45s were down US cents 2 a kg. In Qiangqing, 32s weaving offers were stable on the week.

Offers for spun polyester yarns in Shengze market were lowered partially, while some sporadic specs saw moderate sales. Run rate was not so high on back of poor margins.

With unsmooth sales, buying interest were very low, and players just bought goods to meet rigid demand.

In Pakistan, polyester yarn prices rolled over despite PSF prices declining marginally ignoring the rise in crude oil prices on the international market. 30s spun polyester prices rolled over while 60s was steady during the week.

In India too, polyester yarn prices remained unmoved given the dramatic rise in export. Polyester yarn 30 knit yarn prices remained unchanged in Ludhiana and Indore market during the week.

In April, polyester yarn export jumped both in volumes and values although FOB prices declined 14% year on year.
