Caprolactum price tumbles in China

In China, liquid spot was down US$30 a ton in the second week of May while solid goods offers fell US$95 a ton.

Asian markers, the SE and FE markers fell US$20 a ton on the week.

Sinopec retained its May contract nomination at US$1,625 a ton for liquid goods while Fibrant settled April at US$1,680 a ton, down US$15 from nomination for liquid goods.

Caprolactum prices inched down that week on soft demand in Asia while upstream benzene was range bound on weaker side. In China, offers for liquid goods in spot market were quoted down from last week while mainstream prices for solid goods were rolled over.

Mainstream values for East European goods stood stable amid flat market. Sinopec retained its May contract nomination at a roll over while price list for high-end goods for May was not released.
