YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2016-05-16 09:35:23 –

In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s and 45s yarn prices in the first week of May were both down US cent 1 a kg due to weak Yuan.

Blended yarn markets in China were slowly returning to profits after experiencing serious crisis in the past. Cotton prices were moving up in the past two weeks, while PSF and VSF prices were moderating.

In India, polyester-cotton prices increased during the week and posted 5.6% increase over the month as cotton prices rose and polyester and viscose continuing their firmness.

In India, 30s (65/35) PV warp yarn prices gained another INR1 a kg (up US cents 2) in Indore market. In Ludhiana, PC 30s (52/48) prices gained INR2 a kg (up US cents 4).

In Pakistan, polyester-cotton yarn prices stayed relatively unchanged while sales increased on the Faisalabad and Karachi yarn markets. However, lack of cotton supply continued to support cotton blended yarn markets.
