Blended yarn price falls in Asian markets

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2017-04-17 12:13:37 –

In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices fell US cents 2 a kg in the first week of April in Qianqing, while 45s PC combed yarn prices were down US cents 3 a kg on the week.

Blended yarn prices declined across Asian markets amid mélange in upstream fibre costs. In China, PV and PC yarn prices declined over large inventory levels and lower fiber prices. However, offers have lesser room to go south in the future.

In India, blended yarn price inched down to neutralize the appreciation of INR and stabiles values in US$ term. On export markets, demand from China was falling, as Chinese producers favored domestic supply which were more competitive. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns prices inched down INR1 a kg (down US cent 1) while PC 30s (52/48) prices fell INR2 a kg (down US cents 2) in Ludhiana.

In Pakistan, PV and PC yarn prices did not move in the week, although demand for export was weak, but domestic markets were supportive due to seasonal demand. Good sales were reported from Faisalabad and Karachi yarn markets in the week.
