In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices were stable in the first week of April while 45s PC combed yarn prices declined on the week. In China, blended spun yarn prices slightly declined in the week in line with a fresh drop in cotton and recent fall in polyester values.

In India, polyester-cotton yarn prices declined on the week, losing US cents 3 and dropping 3.3% in March as compared to February, due to the higher level of polyester prices. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarn prices rolled over in Indore market on the week. In Ludhiana, PC 30s (52/48) prices fell by INR2 a kg (down US cents 2) during the week.

In Pakistan, polyester-cotton yarn prices were clearly increasing, partly due to a recent hike in polyester prices. 30s carded PC yarn gained PakRs.1-2 in the week. A sharp increase of exports, more pronounced to China, also supported the market. 24 PC (52/48) carded yarn gained PakRs 1 per pound (up US cents 2 a kg) on the Faisalabad market while 30s also gained PakRs1 per pound (up US cents 2 a kg) on the week.
