ASF price remains stable in Asian markets

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2015-12-10 09:22:43 –

In China, medium-length fiber and cotton-type staple prices generally rolled over in the second week of December, but were down US cent 1 a kg due to weak Yuan.

Acrylic staple fibre prices remained stable, despite some softness seen in due to US$ strengthening. Participants were generally bullish about market future, so producers kept stable offers ahead of the lunar New Year in China, and are possible to raise their indications after the Spring Festival. Although downstream demand was weak with the market cooling down, it remained steady overall.

Currently, the run rate is low as downstream demand was still fair while upstream prices are stabilizing. However, ASF producers were generally holding cautious sentiment. Tt is expected that the situation sustained next week.

In India, offers were stable during the week.

In Pakistan, 1.2D ASF prices rolled over on the week.
