In US, export assessment fell US$35 a ton FOB USG in the third week of October.

European acrylonitrile spot price declined US$52 a ton CIF Mediterranean on the week.

In China, spots offers remained unchanged.

Acrylonitrile markets in Asia were steady and prices remained flat on the week, although upstream propylene prices jumped 14 per cent during the week.

Supply was ample since downstream demand picked up a bit.

Run rate in ASF producers was at close to 100per cent while ABS market remained stable, and prices dropped in some cases.

Acrylamide producers slightly raised operating rates, and bought ACN hand to mouth volume.
