Sustainable Brand Platform partners with RG Showroom to boost brand sustainability

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2021-12-23 12:07:45 – Netherlands

Sustainable Brand Platform (SBP) has teamed with Milan-based Riccardo Grassi Showroom to provide businesses with services geared at creating awareness and supporting further communication of their sustainability initiatives as part of its objective to encourage sustainable practices throughout the industry.

Through the provision of tools, the partnership will support brands in working on their sustainable measures and commitments. The Sustainable ID Card is the first of its kind, designed to help brands effectively and transparently communicate their performance to stakeholders. It also gives buyers and end-users access to precise information on the brand's sustainability. Riccardo Grassi's RG Showroom was responsible for the introduction of a number of well-known brands, including Maison Martin Margiela and Giambattista Valli.

The concept showroom works in partnerships with international boutiques and department stores on luxury and high-end wholesale in over 70 countries, with a special focus on emerging markets.

The relationship will give RG Showroom clients access to the full spectrum of services offered, with the goal of assisting their growth and providing support through the alliance's instruments.

Brands that join the project, according to the two organizations, will be able to implement strategies aimed at attaining specified goals and will be assisted in developing roadmaps to improve sustainable performance.

After one year of operations, SBP, which was founded during the pandemic, will become a technical partner of RG Showroom. With over 90 enterprises in its portfolio, the firm has already established itself, as well as agreements with a number of international partners, including Revolver Copenhagen Trade Show, The Canvas New York, and ModaLisboa.

Albini added that they’re a start-up made up of staff with great experience in fashion. They were born in a covid era, which may be one of the reasons why they want to democratize sustainability consulting by digitizing it to help brands meet the challenge of integrating sustainability into creative processes while developing collections.

Alex Albini, CEO of SBP, said that their objective is to build a worldwide language and a robust network for independent fashion brands. As a result, their collaboration with RG Showroom is quite exciting since it allows them to work with one of the most important players in the B2B channel as well as some of the most intriguing companies in the fashion system.
