Foundation stone laid for additional facility for Textile park in Amravati

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid foundation stone for starting additional facilities for Textile Park in Nandgaon Peth MIDC, Amravati. Fadnavis announced that on the lines of Nandgaonpeth, eight more textile parks would be set up at Yavatmal, Buldana, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed and Nanded.

Admitting that farmer suicides were reported mostly from the cotton-growing areas, he said that his government gives special priority to providing irrigation facilities and setting up cotton processing units in these areas.

This Amravati Textile Park has 8 major textile units with investment of Rs 1243 crore and provide direct employment to 3700 people.

Unless irrigation facilities are created, farmers’ life will not improve for which Jalyukta Shivar Yojana is a part of this endeavour. It is essential to create decentralized water storages. It is necessary to complete well-digging works, he said.

Industries Minister Shri Subhash Desai, Minister Shri Praveen Pote, Minister Ranjit Patil, MP Anand Adsul, MLA Sunil Deshmukh, Dr. Anil Bonde, MLA Yashomati Thakur were present at the foundation stone laying ceremony.

Fadnavis also laid foundation stone for Siyaram Silk Mills. Siyaram is investing Rs 250 crore with an employment generation of 250.
