Unifi, a US synthetic yarn producer to expand production capacity of state of the art Repreve recycling center in Yadkinville. The recycled polyester brand, Repreve, will see 85,000 square feet added to its manufacturing facility – representing a more than doubling in size of the plant.

The expansion will increase capacity to produce Unifi’s recycled fibre brand, Repreve, and other premier value-added products (PVA) by up to 60 million pounds. The $10 million investment will add around 18-20 new jobs in the Yadkin County area in the future.

Vietnam’s textile exports has reached $12 million, growth of 9 percent compared to the same period last year, this is the lowest growth recorded for the last three years, well down on 19 percent recorded for the same period of last year, according to Vietnam Textile & Apparel Association (VITAS).

Textiles are a major export of Vietnam which is targeted at $27 million to $27.5 million for this year. In 2014 textile exports had reached $24 million.

As major buyers were on the sidelines due to quality factor, trading activity remained moderate on the cotton market on Tuesday, dealers said.
Seed cotton prices in Sindh were at Rs 2300-2350 and in Punjab rates were at Rs 2350 and Rs 2450. In the ready business, around, 3000 bales of cotton changed hands between Rs 4700 and Rs 5000. However, the official spot rate remained unchanged at Rs 4700.

According to analysts, some needy mills and spinners took part in fresh buying of seed cotton while ginners preferred to sell to meet their financial problems.

At least 25 Surat Sari merchant have come together to supply saris in special packets carrying PM Modi’s picture, BJP’s logo and the slogan “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas for the 2015 Bihar assembly elections, as per media reports.

The sari traders are doing their bit to make sure that BJP's message reaches every home in Bihar in the run up to the high-voltage electoral tussle.

The initiative is being carried out under the supervision of Surat MP CR Patil. Their goal is to supply at least 10 lakh such bags, reports added.
