Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investment Suren Karayan who had a meeting on January 27 with the Lebanese Armenian Nazaryan family that the company has rich experience in this field in different countries.

The Lebanese Armenian entrepreneurs presented their plans to the minister and discussed also taxation and customs related issues, as well as the possibility of import of raw materials.

Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a hub of the textile industry of the country in the last one decade due to the industrial friendly policy of the state government. Minister for Commerce,Industry, Employment, Mineral Resources and Overseas Indians Rajendra Shukla addressing the 14th international and 72nd All-India Textile Conference held in Bhopal said that a special policy is being brought soon to encourage garment industry in the state.

More than 300 representative of textile industry are taking part in the conference.

Spun polyester yarn prices were stable in China inspite of poor enquiry and transaction. More producers shut down units with the holiday drawing near, and they lowered selling interest and demand lacked good news from downstream polyester market.

The leading buyers remained selective on grade issues while other buyers made deals according to their immediate need of lint on the back of the grade issue and in anticipation of a decline of the spot rate. The market's sentiments were firm on forward trading, traders at the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) said.

During the trading session, buyers of Sindh and Punjab stations made deals for better grades on a cautious note, while sellers offered all grades of lint at around Rs 5,975 per maund to Rs 6,425 per maund in order to capitalize maximum returns on their proceeds, brokers said.
