India has organized a road show titled ‘Textile India 2017 at China's textile hub Shaoxing, detailing the investment opportunities in fabrics, machinery and yarn sectors in the country and also to spread awareness amongst Chinese textile companies about the upcoming mega textile event in Gandhinagar from June 30 to July 2, 2017.

About 120 textile companies from fabrics, machinery and yarn sector participated at the Shaoxing Roadshow, Prakash Gupta, Consul General of the Indian Consulate in Shanghai said in the statement.

Nylon yarn prices flat to weak in Asia

In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices were down US cents 5 a kg at the upper end in the second week of March while FDY40D were stable on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices US cents 8 a kg and 30D/10F rolled over during the week. Monofilament 30D prices remained unchanged while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices were US cents 9 a kg.

Nylon filament yarn markets remained flat to weak on the back of easing cost of nylon chips and breakeven operation with run rate at 75%. Downstream converters kept stable operation and followed up cautiously.

Caprolactum prices plunge in China

Asian caprolactum markers rolled over in the second week of March while East European goods were stable on the week. In China, liquid caprolactum offers in spot market declined US$125 a ton while solid goods fell US$170 a ton on the week.

Caprolactam prices fell on the back of softening benzene and increased supply in China. Liquid goods offer in China spot market declined US$125 a ton while values for solid goods fell US$170 a ton week on week.
