Zara expands sustainable fashion reach across Europe

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-12-06 18:52:44 – Spain

Zara, the popular Spanish fashion retailer, is set to broaden its services by offering the option to sell, repair, or donate second-hand clothes in various European countries starting December 12. This move comes in response to the growing demand for used apparel.

The 'Pre-Owned' service is already available in the UK and France through Zara's physical stores, website, and mobile application. Now, it is set to launch in additional countries, including Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Spain.

Inditex, the company that owns Zara, has expressed a commitment to reducing waste and raw material usage. Their aim is to prolong the lifespan of Zara clothing, contributing to a more sustainable approach in the fashion industry.
