Zalando has launched the first garments from its private label Anna Field made using Circ Lyocell, a next-generation material derived in part from recycled polycotton textile waste. The debut pieces are made entirely from Circ Lyocell, with 40% of the fibre content coming from recycled textiles.
Anna Field is one of six private brands under Zalando and serves as a testing ground for innovation and sustainable design. With its feminine and modern aesthetic, the brand is seen as a strong platform to explore how circular fashion can be scaled without sacrificing quality, comfort, or affordability.
This launch builds on Zalando’s investment in and ongoing collaboration with Circ, a U.S.-based company that has developed a breakthrough technology to recycle polycotton blends. Circ processes this material into high-quality pulp, which is then spun into lyocell fibre.
By introducing Circ Lyocell into its private label collection, Zalando is reinforcing its broader mission to support closed-loop supply chains and make textile-to-textile recycling a part of everyday fashion. This effort not only highlights a shift towards circular design but also sets a precedent for how large retailers can lead in sustainable innovation.
