The 17th China Yiwu International Exhibition on Knitting & Hosiery Machinery held under the theme, Enabling Design and Fabrics Innovation through New Textile Technologies concluded on 16 June attracted nearly 10,000 local and international trade visitors from 36 countries and regions.

Tiziano Sandonini, Marketing Director of Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd. said the show date change brought some challenges but ultimately, the event proved a success for the Italian machine builder. They are especially grateful that Adsale provides such a good platform for displaying their products. They are now discussing some long-term cooperation plan for mutual benefits and to deliver better service to their customers.

There was also positive feed back from buyers. Chang Chin Chang, General Manager of Taiwan Shang Chiao said that their company's main product is medical socks and they have been working with one of the exhibitors, Alome, for a long period of time. They went to their booth and were glad to understand the latest technology. They discussed about future business projects as well. The exhibition was satisfying and they are expecting more new exhibits in the next edition.

Mr. Chen Chun Hao from Taiwan Chang Shun Hosiery Co said that it was their first time to visit Yiwutex. They mainly focused on processing equipment like marking machine and sewing machine, and have explored a lot of new and different suppliers. After talking to some exhibitors, they found several matched ones that could provide their preferred products, which was very satisfying and fruitful for them.

Ongoing events during the show included the Santoni Sports Socks Design Competition, which selected six winning designers for their diversified and multi-functional products, and the Knitwear Display Zone, which showcased the latest cutting-edge hosiery products from a number of exhibitors.

Of particular note were the functional socks for elderly from the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA), which aim to provide moisturizing and antibacterial functions, as well as added comfort for those suffering from dry skin or poor blood circulation, and the Lycra Living Lights technology which has been developed by Invista to create stockings with more natural looking and rich colours.

The next edition of Yiwu International Exhibition is declared to be held from 13 to 15 June 2017.
