World Collective partners to launch DPP pilot for denim fabrics

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2026-08-12 14:04:14 – USA

World Collective, Denim Deal and Green Story have launched a joint Digital Product Passport (DPP) pilot, which is now available for three denim fabrics. The initiative aims to improve supply chain transparency by making DPP information available at the fabric level. This allows suppliers to organise their product information once and share it with multiple brands, reducing the need to provide the same data separately to each customer.

The three denim fabrics currently available on the platform come from Indian supplier and Denim Deal member Bhaskar Savitt Industries. The fabrics are Renewed Eco, Earthbound Eco and Bluecanopy Eco.

Each fabric has an interactive DPP section on its product page. The feature provides users with access to information about the fabric's composition, sustainability performance and supplier details, helping brands better understand the products they source.

The partnership is also working to expand the initiative and demonstrate how the system can be used on a larger scale. At Texhibition Istanbul in September, World Collective, together with Denim Deal and Green Story, will organise an activation at their booth to introduce Turkish denim suppliers to DPP technology and help them prepare for its wider adoption.
