Workshop held to showcase energy efficient technology in RMG sector

A workshop titled ‘Solar PV & LED Lighting’ was held on Wednesday under the Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) programme of World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) organized by the Textile Technology Business Centre (TTBC) to promote energy efficient technology in the country’s garment sector.

Organizer of the workshop in a press release said that it discussed developing Solar PV and LED Lighting as ‘Green Lighting Options’. IFC Bangladesh is committed to the development goals of the industry and will extend support through capacity and business development.

At the event, IDLC Finance Ltd, a PaCT partner, signed the formal engagement letter with IFC to promote financial products that will facilitate greater adoption of resource efficiency technology across the textile sector.
