Wolf & Badger, a multi-channel retailer, claims to be the first online marketplace in the UK to be certified as a B Corp.
After completing a number of criteria demonstrating a commitment "to aims outside of shareholder profit," the firm was certified by B Lab, the non-profit driving the B Corp movement.
Over 1000 designers are represented on Wolf & Badger's platform, which includes womenswear, menswear, cosmetics, grooming, homeware, jewellery, and accessories.
George Z Graham, Wolf & Badger’s CEO and co-founder said they are immensely happy to join such an outstanding network of forward-thinking business leaders who share their long-standing commitment to responsible business.
The retailer has joined a growing worldwide network of 3,800 B Corps, including 450 from the United Kingdom.
After launching its Sustainability Guarantees Index in March of 2020, Wolf & Badger, which operates through its online platform as well as flagship stores in London's Coal Drops Yard and New York's Soho, was awarded Draper's Sustainable Retailer of the Year in 2020.
Graham added that the B Corp certification represents their broader commitment to help build a sustainable future for retail, as well as to provide a fair and more mindful choice for both customers and brands.
They are pleased to continue pushing positive change in the fashion and design industries, and they look forward to growing the Wolf & Badger business as a force for good.
