Vitamin A launches swimwear line from 100% recycled fabric

California-based swimwear label Vitamin A pioneers sustainable innovation in female swimsuits by introducing the ReLux collection, crafted from a groundbreaking 100% recycled fabric developed by Hyosung and Hung Yen Knitting & Dyeing.

Hyosung and Hung Yen debuted their sustainable textile innovation, showcased at Interfilière Paris, featuring a swimwear fabric composed of an 80/20 blend of Hyosung GRS-certified regen Ocean (post-consumer nylon from discarded fishing nets) and RCS-certified 100% recycled regen Spandex.

Mark Sunderland, VP of product innovation at Swim USA (Vitamin A’s parent company), underscores customer demand for eco-conscious swimwear. The ReLux line fulfills this need, offering swimwear that actively contributes to ocean health, addressing concerns voiced by consumers

Founded in 2000 by California native Amahlia Stevens, Vitamin A designs and manufactures bikinis and bodysuits locally in California, utilizing plant-based and recycled materials. As a member of 1% for the Planet, the company supports ocean conservation efforts. Its consistent ranking among the top five sustainable swimwear brands positions Vitamin A as an ideal partner for commercializing Hyosung and Hung Yen’s sustainable fabrics.
