Verretex, a Swiss manufacturer specialising in nonwovens made from recycled glass fibers, has entered into a strategic partnership with Fiberloop, a Swedish developer of composite recycling machinery, to strengthen circularity in glass-fiber composite applications.
As part of the new collaboration, Verretex has tested glass fibres recovered using Fiberloop’s recycling process and confirmed that they rank among the highest-grade recycled glass fibres currently available. According to Verretex, the fibres demonstrate exceptional consistency, strength and cleanliness, making them suitable for high-performance nonwovens.
These recycled fibres can be used in demanding applications across sectors such as wind energy, automotive, construction and other industrial markets, aligning with growing demand for high-quality recycled reinforcement materials.
Under the partnership framework, Fiberloop will supply fully integrated composite recycling plants to recycling companies, while Verretex will commit to purchasing the recovered glass fibrer on a long-term basis. This arrangement ensures recyclers have both access to advanced recycling technology and a reliable end market, supporting profitable and scalable composite recycling operations.
