Trützschler, Balkan partner to revolutionize recycling in textile industry

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2023-08-16 17:23:12 – Germany

Trützschler has joined hands with Balkan Textile Machinery to complete its lineup of products for recycling. This collaboration makes it the first company that can provide all the needed machinery for preparing fibers in the spinning process for recycling. Together, their expertise and knowledge will allow customers to make the best quality yarns from recycled materials.

Both Balkan and Trützschler are family-owned companies that care a lot about sustainability in the textile industry. Balkan is well known in Turkey, an important market for textile recycling. Their strong and dependable machines help in cutting, mixing, and tearing textile waste into individual fibers. They also press these fibers into bundles of recycled fibers. These bundles can then be used in the preparation process with Trützschler machines.

Markus Wurster, director sales and marketing at Trützschler Group, said, “We are now able to provide a complete line-up of technologically leading machinery which has been specifically developed for rotor and ring yarns from recycled materials. Customers benefit from less complexity when planning and executing a mill project. The combined processes from Trützschler and Balkan are perfectly fine-tuned, reliable and reproducible. And of course, customers have access to Trützschler’s premium service.”

Osman Balkan, Owner of Balkan Textile Machinery. INC.CO, adds: “I am very happy that we can join forces with such a strong international player like Trützschler. Together we can make a significant contribution to dealing with textile waste globally."

Trützschler Card Clothing has been working continuously to make better card clothing that can handle the challenges of processing recycled fibers and make better yarn. They have focused a lot on improving the flat top, which is an important part of the carding process. They combined the strength of MT/PT 40 and the cleaning power of MT/PT 45 to create a new flat top called MT/PT 45R, designed specifically for recycled materials.

Markus Wurster further added, "We are excited to offer our customers globally a complete package for recycling from June 2023 onwards, including tearing line, blow room, card, draw frame, card clothing and of course our service and technological know-how.”

Truecycled by Trützschler is developed for recycling which helps manufacturers make things from leftover materials. With Truecycled, manufacturers know they are using the best technology and a reliable process to make high-quality yarn from old textile waste. Trützschler works with a fashion company to use their own leftover materials. They use special Trützschler machines to make a yarn that has 60% of those leftover materials.
