Thermore, a leading company in thermal insulation for apparel, has introduced Ecodown Fibers T2T. The new free-fibre insulation is produced entirely from recycled polyester fibres. The composition includes 80 percent post-industrial textile waste and 20 percent recycled PET bottles collected from consumers.
Unlike many textile recycling processes that result in lower-quality materials through downcycling, Ecodown Fibers T2T is designed to maintain the same high quality standards as other Thermore insulation products.
The new insulation material is known for its high loft and softness, which provide strong comfort. It is also flexible in application and can be blown into baffles, inserted into panels, or applied manually during garment production. The fibre structure is designed to remain stable over time and reduce clumping.
The product is certified under the Global Recycled Standard, which confirms the recycled content and traceability of materials across the supply chain. It also holds certifications from Bluesign and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, ensuring strict control of chemical substances and compliance with product safety and health protection standards.
