YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2022-11-03 03:13:18 – USA

Outerwear brand The North Face, has expanded its Renewed apparel upcycling program by introducing a store-based takeback option for its US consumers.

The retailer's Renewed Take Back program was initially tested at a few stores at the start of September 2022.

The promotion will now be accessible at all of its retail locations and outlets in the US and Canada as of November.

Customers can join by bringing in any used The North Face item, scanning a QR code in a special app, and receiving shopping credit for future purchases.

The North Face Renewed, the company's resale website will accept bulk returns of items to be conditioned, cleaned, mended, and resold by Tersus Solutions, the company's logistics partner.

The platform, which was introduced in May of last year in association with the tech partner Archive, has reportedly experienced some success, leading to its extension as The North Face seeks to scale its circularity initiatives.

In order to provide a seamless and effective user experience, Archive designed the exclusive app for the take-back program in six weeks, according to a release.
