Textile Growth Programme grant to boost Urmston clothing manufacturer

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2016-04-01 13:00:00 – Manchester

Cavendish sports clothing manufacturer from Trafford that produces personalized garments for team sports from its premises in Higher Road, Urmston for last 30 years, secured a grant of more than £12,000 from the Textile Growth Programme.

The grant will help the Cavendish owner, Stan Smith, expand his business and take on more staff. They work hard to understand their customers’ needs, and to give them exactly what they want. That’s not just about the products they sell, it’s about the advice and support that goes with it.

The grant is aimed at creating and safeguarding jobs in the textile sector, and can be accessed by businesses from footwear, knitting, dying, carpet manufacture, technical textiles, as well as manufacturers of textile machinery – and more.

The Textile Growth Programme is focused on creating and safeguarding jobs via a grant funded scheme to support capital projects, skills training and research and development.
