YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2015-06-14 13:00:00 – USA

Amrapur Overseas Inc., div. Colonial Home Textiles in California, based in Garden Grove, a textile manufacturing and distribution company plans to move to the largest 21dock building on 7.7 acres at Magnolia Point, a redevelopment project in Corona as its U.S. headquarters office and Southern California logistics center, purchased for $20.1 million, according to CT Realty executive Mark Zehner.

Amrapur roots go back to 1960 when founder Harry M. Wadhwani opened Lachmi’s International Ltd. in Hong Kong, and later launched an institutional and hospitality linen line. Today, the company also makes bedding, towels, comforters, draperies and other home textiles overseas and in the states for home fashion and the retail industry.

Though home textiles is the company’s core business, Amrapur also has a kids plush product line and sells home decor and kitchen products. Its sales market includes the U.S., Mexico, Central and South America. Amrapur is a high-quality company with annual sales of more than $250 million.

The company prides itself with high quality fabric that starts from the ability of the company to source high quality yarn from all over the world to meet the competitive pricing demand of its customers. Depending on its customer’s requirement we can knit with domestic or imported yarn. From combed cotton, to organic, from poly rayon to rayon, from polyester to nylon, Amrapur Overseas Inc. sources only from reputable yarn suppliers.

Amarpur operate a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Garden Grove, California, manufacturing comforters and utilize some of the latest space saving and technology resources. Currently, they are working on entering Europe, Middle-East and Asia markets.

CT Realty, of Aliso Viejo, bought the Magnolia Point property in April 2013 to build four industrial warehouse/distribution buildings totaling 528,000-square-feet on the 26-acre site. The sale of the 201,345-square-foot building to Amrapur is the second at Magnolia Point in the past few months.
