Textile (Kapada) is an essential commodity and traded by a large section of traders all over the country. Keeping this in view Andhra Pradesh Textile Federation, has been formed by the textile businessmen in the State here on Sunday.
Also dividing line of State necessitated the formation of new body for textile sector. The federation was formed at a meeting held at Krishnaveeni wholesale cloth market here.
Textile traders from 13 districts attended the meeting and elected Busireddy Malleeswara Reddy and Buchu Venkata Narasimha Rao unanimously as the president and general secretary respectively.
The two names were proposed by Telangana Textile Federation president Ammanabollu Prakash. The federations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should extend cooperation in fighting against the government in support of their demands.
Malleeswara Reddy said that plans have been chalked out to construct permanent buildings for federations in A.P. and Telangana.
