Tex Trend 2015 largest textile show of Asia was declared open on Wednesday

The 5th edition of Tex-Trends India 2015 was declared open with the inauguration by Minister of State for Textile, Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Pragati Maidan (ITPO), in New Delhi on Wednesday. This event has exhibitors from across the length and breadth of India, including Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab.

The show will also have theme area made by TEXPROCIL, NJB, EPCH, SETEPC, DISHA, CEPC to showcase uniqueness and strengths of the India's Textiles Industry.

The Minister of State for Textiles, Santosh Kumar Gangwar inauguration the event said that he was honoured to be part of inauguration of the 5th edition of Tex Trends India. Their most dynamic and great visionary Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has a dream to boost manufacturing, by "Make in India" initiative where world class products will be manufactured here in India by skilled work force with zero defect.

Skilling India has also been up-scaled qualitatively as well as in large numbers to reap the advantage of demographic dividend.

Several steps have been planned and taken to improve business confidence, encourage enterprises and persons to renew investment across all sectors. Indian Govt. is keen to provide an enabling atmosphere of proactive, speedy and empowered decision making, particularly at the Centre and in States for industrial growth which is crucial in achieving developmental goals.

Suniana Tomar, JS (Exports) Ministry of Textiles, in her address said that Tex Trends India 2015 has attracted buyers from all major markets. Buyers from United States - 207 tops the list, UK, Spain, Australia, Canada, Japan, Brazil, France, etc, and many more would be visiting the fair.

Virender Uppal, Chairman AEPC, in his address stated that Tex Trends India 2015, features over 403 exhibitors and displaying diverse range of products from the entire length and breadth of the country. Tex-Trends India 2015 would be one of the largest textile shows in Asia covering Apparel, Fashion Jewellery and Accessories; Home Furnishing, Yarns, Threads & Fabrics, Silk, Synthetic, Rayon and Cotton textiles & Jute garments, etc. encompassing a vast exhibition floor area of gross over 15824 square meters.

Over 1600 buyers and 117 buying agents, have already registered for the Fair and as per the confirmation received In the joint efforts with Ministry of Textiles. The aim behind holding Tex-Trends is to showcase and leverage India’s strengths and efforts to create garment and textiles from fiber to fashion.
