Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd. has introduced a new high-performance polyester fabric that blends the refined appearance and texture of natural fibers with modern comfort features. The fabric offers a cool touch, prevents stickiness, dries quickly, blocks UV rays, and is not see-through, all while mimicking the elegance of natural materials.

The fabric is crafted using a unique polyester yarn that has a four-lobed, flat cross-section and irregular thicknesses. This variation in yarn thickness gives the fabric a natural, uneven texture and look. Developed with Teijin Frontier’s own spinning technology, the fabric is made entirely from recycled polyester, contributing to sustainable and circular practices.

Teijin Frontier’s solution was to design a fabric that captures both. By using its proprietary yarn with varying thicknesses in both length and cross-section, along with advanced dyeing, finishing, and post-processing methods, the company has created a fabric that feels like natural fiber but performs like high-tech material.
