Taiwanese textile sector growing internationally with Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) making a huge success, confirmed in the final report from The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF). Sustainable textiles were a key theme of the event.

From Taiwan, leading green players in the industry such as Formosa Plastics Group and Far Eastern New Century were in attendance, along with the likes of Libolon, Fabric King, Everest, Tri Ocean, Tex-Ray, Eclat, Singtex and New Wide.

Around 359 exhibitors from 11 nations and regions participated in the 2013 event - an increase of 9.2 per cent from the previous year. A total of 950 one-on-one business meetings were organised - up 12 per cent from 2012. TITAS is organised by TTF, under the auspices of the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Exhibitors from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Germany, United States, Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, China and Hong Kong showcased their latest collections at the 3-day event.

The show again attracted brands from across the world, bringing 170 professional buyers from the United States, Brazil, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Russia, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Hong Kong.

TITAS 2014 is schedule for October 15-17 at the Taipei World Trade Centre, Nangang Exhibition Hall.
